Captive Resources
For more than four decades, Captive Resources has provided mid-market companies with the opportunity to become owners of their own insurance company rather than buyers of insurance policies, helping them lower their total cost of risk. We do this through the creation, development, and oversight of member-owned group captive insurance companies.
We currently advise more than 50 group captives, including several Medical Stop Loss (MSL) group captives, comprising over 7,500 member-companies and over $5.5 billion in annual premium. Alongside our four decades of Casualty-captive experience, we have supported Medical Stop Loss group captives since 2011 to help companies self-fund their employer-sponsored health insurance in a stable environment with a group of best-in-class, engaged employers.
Captive Resources supports every aspect of the captives we advise, including claims advocacy, operational oversight, risk management, financial services, regulatory compliance, investment services, and more. Our unique services include Casualty and MSL group captive consulting, group captive premium financing, and umbrella support services.
