Devin O'Brien Joins Captive Resources as Domestic Captive Head

Devin O'Brien has joined Captive Resources as head of domestic captive management, marking a new leadership addition for the group captive consulting firm.

In a LinkedIn post announcing the move, Mr. O'Brien said he was "excited to finally share the news" and described Captive Resources as a "world class Group Captive consultant." He said his long-standing passion for the group captive model made the role a natural fit as he begins contributing to the company's growth efforts.

Mr. O'Brien most recently served in senior leadership roles at Artex Risk Solutions, where he spent nearly a decade working across captive management, finance, and operations. Before joining Captive Resources in May 2026, he was executive vice president of captive management for North America at Artex, overseeing captive management and client servicing operations across several North American domiciles, including the Cayman Islands, Bermuda, Vermont, South Carolina, Hawaii, and Arizona.

Prior to that role, he served as executive vice president of finance and operations for North America, where he worked with teams across North America, Bermuda, and the Cayman Islands on operating models, process efficiencies, and standardization initiatives while continuing to oversee financial management for group captive business.

Before joining Artex, Mr. O'Brien worked in the captive insurance audit practice at PwC Cayman Islands, where he focused on auditing captive insurance companies under US generally accepted accounting principles. He previously worked at PKF South Africa in audit and accounting roles.

In his LinkedIn announcement, Mr. O'Brien also reflected on his time at Artex and Gallagher, saying he would miss colleagues and clients "who became close friends over so many years."
