In a milestone year for the International Center for Captive Insurance Education (ICCIE), the organization is set to mark its 20th anniversary with a celebration.
The Captive Insurance Companies Association (CICA) is accepting nominations for its board of directors and its 2024 Distinguished Service Award and Outstanding Captive Award. Nominations for the CICA board seats and the two awards must be submitted by December 31.
Eduardo Fox is the recipient of the 2023 Bermuda Captive Conference Fred Reiss Lifetime Achievement Award for outstanding commitment and contributions to Bermuda's captive insurance industry. Mr. Fox's captive insurance career has spanned 30 years and has seen him playing a role in developing the Latin American captive insurance market.
Joe McDonald, director of the Captive Insurance Division in the South Carolina Department of Insurance, has been recognized as a member of the Captive International "Forty under 40" list. Before taking his current post, Mr. McDonald was captive and risk finance product manager for International Risk Management Institute, Inc. (IRMI).

The Captive Insurance Companies Association (CICA) recognized Joel Chansky, consulting actuary at Milliman Inc., with the CICA 2023 Distinguished Service Award and Kite Realty Group with the CICA 2023 Outstanding Captive Award. The honors were announced Monday during CICA's 2023 International Conference in Rancho Mirage, California.
