VCIA December Webinar To Focus on Captive Insurance Taxation

The Vermont Captive Insurance Association (VCIA) is sponsoring a webinar on December 15, during which captive tax specialists will discuss 2022's most significant tax developments.

Speakers at the session, titled "2022 Captive Taxation, Basics and Beyond," will be Daniel Kusaila, an insurance tax partner with Saslow, Lufkin & Buggy LLP, whose expertise includes the operation and taxation of captive insurance companies; Charles Lavelle, an attorney and captive expert with Bingham, Greenebaum, Doll LLP, who regularly counsels businesses on the formation, operation, and taxation of captives; and Kevin Mead, president of the VCIA.

The Burlington, Vermont-based VCIA was established in 1985 and provides legislative support, education, information-sharing opportunities, and a network of mutual support for its nearly 400 member companies and the captive insurance industry at large.
