IMAC Names 4 Recipients of 2026 Educational Scholarships
The Insurance Managers Association of Cayman (IMAC) named 4 recipients of its 2026 Educational Scholarship Fund, supporting Caymanian students pursuing degrees in engineering, accountancy, data science, film production, and finance. Since 1994, the captive insurance industry association's scholarship fund has raised more than US$5 million and helped more than 90 Caymanian students access tertiary education. Learn More
South Carolina Expands Captive Insurance Division Amid Domicile Growth
South Carolina is expanding its Captives Division as captive insurance formations continue to grow. The state licensed 15 captives in 2025 and 14 since the start of 2026. Newer staff members Colin Anderson, Ryan Borkowski, and Ann Cunniffe support financial analysis, licensing, solvency oversight, and regulatory compliance for captives statewide. Learn More

North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey named Chuck Myers chief deputy commissioner, effective Oct. 1. Mr. Myers, formerly a Louisiana deputy insurance commissioner, succeeds retiring Jackie Obusek. His background spans insurance regulation, law enforcement, fraud investigations, and accounting, including leadership roles in Louisiana and Virginia and more than 20 years as an agent. Read More
