Katherine Keefe has joined Marsh as US cyber incident management leader. Ms. Keefe will be based in Philadelphia and report to Tom Reagan, Marsh's US Cyber Practice leader. Ms. Keefe joins Marsh from Beazley, where she served as head of breach response services for the past 8 years.
Marsh set up 76 new captives in the first 6 months of 2020, and its captive insurance leader said she expected more to come in the next 18 months. The number of new formations was more than a 200 percent increase compared to the same period in 2019.
The Vermont Agency of Commerce and Community Development has named Brittany Nevins captive insurance economic development director. Ms. Nevins replaces Ian Davis, who left the position earlier this year to take a private sector position in the captive insurance industry.
AXA XL has named Jonathan Salter head of Risk Consulting, effective October 1, 2020. In his new role, Mr. Salter will drive AXA XL's Risk Consulting’s global strategy and value proposition, working closely with AXA XL's Underwriting and Claims teams. Mr. Salter is currently deputy CEO of AXA XL Risk Consulting.
Fenhua Liu, a veteran insurance regulator and executive, has been named director of the Connecticut Insurance Department's Captive Insurance Division. Ms. Liu has more than 25 years of experience in insurance and risk management, according to Andrew Mais, commissioner of the Connecticut Insurance Department.
