Lloyd’s has appointed Carey Bond US head of claims. He assumes the newly created role as part of the Future at Lloyd’s strategy and will collaborate with London brokers and underwriters on the design and delivery of claim solutions for policyholders in Lloyd’s largest market.
Erick Mortenson has joined property-casualty consulting firm Pinnacle Actuarial Resources, Inc., as a consulting actuary in the Denver area. Mr. Mortenson joins Pinnacle after a tenure at Willis Towers Watson where he was a senior vice president focused on providing analytics solutions in areas including reinsurance and medical professional liability.
The South Carolina Department of Insurance has named Greg Delleney as assistant director of captives. Mr. Delleney previously was the South Carolina captive division’s supervising analyst. A graduate of The Citadel, where he received a bachelor of science in accounting, Mr. Delleney joined the South Carolina department in 2010.
McGriff has formed a new group captive practice, McGriff Captive Solutions, and named Steve Aldrich to lead the practice. The new group captive practice will serve as an advisory resource for companies seeking a more cost-efficient way to finance risk while offering members ownership of their underwriting profit.
Chubb Ltd. has named John Lupica president, North America insurance, and Paul Krump vice chairman, global underwriting and claims. Both appointments are effective September 1, with both executives reporting jointly to Evan G. Greenberg, chairman and chief executive officer, and to John Keogh, executive vice chairman and chief operating officer.
