This year, Bermuda will add 11 captive insurance companies to its Captive Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame was created by the industry in 2016 to highlight captive entities with a quarter-century commitment to the Bermuda market. More than 200 Bermuda-based companies now share the honor.
Bermuda captive insurance pioneer Brian R. Hall, OBE, a former director and president of Johnson & Higgins credited with taking the island's captive insurance industry to global relevance, will receive the third Fred Reiss Lifetime Achievement Award at the upcoming Bermuda Captive Conference (June 11-13).
The Federation of European Risk Management Associations (FERMA) and Commercial Risk Europe have announced the European Risk Management Awards 2018.The awards recognize the highest achievers within the European risk management community and also reward excellence and innovation within the core service provider sector: insurers, brokers, and professional services.
RIMS, the risk management society™, and American International Group, Inc. (AIG), announced captive insurance pioneer James D. Jim" Hinton as one of three 2015 inductees to the Risk Management Hall of Fame (RMHF) on April 27. The RMHF serves as a means to maintain the history of the field of risk management and recognizes risk practitioners who have made significant contributions to advancing the discipline. The honorees were officially inducted at RIMS 2015 Annual Conference & Exhibition in New Orleans."
