The Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA) has appointed Ricardo Garcia as managing director of the authority. Mr. Garcia joined the BMA in 2013 and has held various positions. The Reinsurance Association of America (RAA) elected Brian Young, president and CEO of Odyssey Group, chair of the RAA's board; Justin O'Keefe, senior vice president and chief underwriting officer for global property at RenaissanceRe, was elected vice-chair; and Jim Williamson, executive vice president, chief operating officer, and head of reinsurance for Everest Re Group, was elected secretary-treasurer. MSL Captive Solutions, Inc. (MSLCS), has appointed Peter Parent as the chief underwriting officer and Jean Verrier as the CFO. The appointments follow the launch of MSLCS in January 2020 as a provider of underwriting and reinsurance services for medical stop-loss captives and the growth in the company's underwriting activities.
