New Tool Aims To Allow Real-Time Reinsurance Strategy Optimization

Global risk and reinsurance specialist Guy Carpenter has launched a new tool aimed at supporting the structuring and optimization of reinsurance strategies in real time.

MetaRisk Live allows clients to instantly evaluate the impact of changes to their reinsurance structures, supporting a better understanding of buying decisions, a Guy Carpenter statement said.

The new tool leverages Guy Carpenter's MetaRisk platform—a suite of underwriting, reserve, catastrophe, credit, and investment risk capabilities—to facilitate enhanced collaboration to develop optimal reinsurance structures, the intermediary said.

According to Guy Carpenter, MetaRisk Live produces results that illustrate the effects of structure adjustments through custom performance indicators tailored to the reinsurance buyer's unique key performance indicators.

The real-time evaluation enables a more efficient work process designed to develop approaches that are fully aligned with the buyer's reinsurance goals and objectives, Guy Carpenter said.
