The Connecticut Captive Insurance Association (CTCIA) will hold its annual conference next month in Hartford, where captive experts will discuss a variety of key captive issues.

Among the speakers at the November 2 conference will be Pierrick Livet, a senior manager at KPMG, and Karin Landry, a managing partner with Spring Consulting Group. They will discuss creative captive solutions.

At another session, Dawne Ware, senior vice president and deputy chief financial officer at Arch Insurance Group Inc., will discuss the impacts of inflation on captives.

In addition, Bruce Wright, a partner at Eversheds Sutherland (US) LLP; Fenhua Liu, director of the Connecticut Insurance Department's captive insurance division; Kerry Wood, a lawmaker with the Connecticut House of Representatives; and P.J. Cimini, president of the CTCIA, will discuss the impact of new legislation on Connecticut captive growth.

"We are tremendously excited with our lineup at the CTCIA's annual collaborative conference. Leading captive experts from around the world will be joining us," said Mr. Cimini, who also is a partner at Capital Strategies Group LLC. More information about the conference is available at the CTCIA website or by calling (860) 989–8502.

Connecticut is a small but fast-growing captive insurance domicile. At the end of 2021, Connecticut had 35 captives, up from just 16 in 2019.
