ICCIE Scholarship Deadline Approaching

Scholarships for programs of study with the International Center for Captive Insurance Education (ICCIE) include the Harry House Captive Insurance Scholarship and the Vermont Captive Insurance Association (VCIA) Distinguished Scholar Award.

The Harry House Captive Insurance Scholarship

Sponsored by HAI Group of Cheshire, Connecticut, one full scholarship and one course scholarship is awarded per year for course work leading to an Associate in Captive Insurance designation.

The scholarships are reserved for minority students enrolled in an actuarial or risk management program at an accredited college or university. The recipients will be chosen based on scholastic excellence and good standing in the university community.

The full scholarship recipient will be permitted to attend all required courses free of charge as long as he or she passes each course.

The modular scholarship recipient will be permitted to attend one of ICCIE's core courses, free of charge.

To apply for the Harry House Captive Insurance Scholarship, please complete and submit the application linked below. The application deadline is June 30, 2019. Award recipients will be announced by ICCIE in August 2019 during VCIA's annual conference.

VCIA Distinguished Scholar Award

ICCIE will award one full scholarship per year to a member of VCIA chosen by a panel of three industry participants appointed by ICCIE. The VCIA Distinguished Scholar Award recipient will be permitted to attend all required courses, free of charge.

The successful applicant must meet the following three qualifications. 

  1. Be employed by a member company of VCIA
  2. Provide two letters of reference citing the applicant's achievements in, or commitment to, the captive insurance profession
  3. Cite evidence of involvement in the applicant's community

To apply for the VCIA Distinguished Scholar Award, please send a cover letter and other materials providing the above information to the following address by June 30, 2019. ICCIE will announce the award recipient in August 2019 during VCIA's annual conference.
