Tennessee Captive Insurance Group Prepares for November Conference

The Tennessee Captive Insurance Association (TCIA) will explore a variety of captive insurance issues at its 11th Annual Conference November 15–17 in Nashville.

Speaking at the first session, titled "Captives Yesterday and Tomorrow," will be TCIA President Kevin Doherty; Martin Eveleigh, chairman of Atlas Insurance Management; Gary Osborne, vice president of Risk Partners Inc.; Claire Richardson, a captive consultant at Hylant Global Captive Solutions; and Travis Terzer, a senior associate at CapVisor Associates LLC.

At another session, Michael Corbett, a captive insurance adviser at Pinnacle Financial Partners; Nate Reznicek, head of US distribution at International Re; Andy Rhea, president of Align Risk Solutions; and Corbette Doyle, a senior lecturer at Peabody College, Vanderbilt University, will discuss whether regulation of captive insurance companies and program managers is needed.

Speakers at other sessions will discuss banking investments, cell captives, captive taxation, and captives' capital and risk diversification.
