Deadline Nears for VCIA 2027 Conference Topic Submissions
October 06, 2026
The Vermont Captive Insurance Association (VCIA) is reminding captive insurance professionals that the deadline to submit session topics for the 2027 VCIA Annual Conference is Friday, October 9, 2026, at the end of the day.
VCIA opened its call for topics in September and is seeking substantive proposals addressing current issues and emerging needs across the captive insurance industry. Multiple submissions are permitted, and submitters do not need to be VCIA members.
Priority areas identified by VCIA include climate and parametric risk, cross-border and multi-domicile strategies, emerging liability trends, supply chain and geopolitical risk, and the federal and legislative landscape.
Other areas include career pathways and workforce development, post-formation captive growth, benchmarking and performance data, artificial intelligence across captive functions, advanced reinsurance, fronting and tax issues, and captive governance.
VCIA developed the priority areas following reviews of its 2026 conference program, including an analysis of 199 live audience questions across 25 sessions to identify topics and formats that could receive additional attention in 2027.
The 2027 VCIA Annual Conference is scheduled for August 10–12, 2027.
Session topic proposals must be submitted by EOD Friday, October 9.
More information about the call for topics is available through the VCIA 2027 conference submissions page.
Proposals can be submitted through VCIA's online submission form.
