Zurich recently named Schaumburg, Illinois–based Jason Meador as head of group captives for alternative markets.

Mr. Meador holds responsibility for the operational management of Zurich's group captives business (including member-owned, agency, and fronted captives) and ensuring strong relationships with captive consultants and captives boards.

Mr. Meador reports directly to David Putz, head of alternative markets, Zurich North America.

In his previous position, which began in January 2018, he served as the chief operating officer for alternative markets, prior to which Mr. Meador was head of strategic execution for North America.

He joined Zurich in 2013 as the strategy business partner supporting the former commercial markets business unit and technical underwriting.

Prior to joining Zurich, Mr. Meador was a principal with the Boston Consulting Group.

"Jason's deep business experience, focus on strategy, and innovative mindset position him well for leading our Captives business," Mr. Putz said.
