Webinar to Examine MGA Growth, Governance, and Audit Readiness
October 23, 2026
Johnson Lambert will host a complimentary webinar, "MGA Growth Meets Program Governance," on November 17, 2026, at 2 p.m. ET, examining the rapid expansion of the managing general agent (MGA) market and the challenges insurers face in overseeing delegated authority programs.
The webinar, also described as "Aligning MGA Expansion with Carrier Governance and Audit Readiness," will explore how capital investment, the movement of underwriting talent, and expanded fronting capacity are driving MGA growth while insurers work to strengthen governance, financial controls, and program oversight.
The discussion will examine how national insurers appoint, monitor, and govern MGA relationships, including the factors that can delay program reviews and distinguish programs that successfully navigate due diligence.
Presenters will address the effects of reinsurance dependency, risk retention, and collateral arrangements on insurer capital and Best's Capital Adequacy Ratio (BCAR). The session will also cover financial controls and documentation necessary for insurer program reviews and financial statement audits, including bordereaux reconciliation and fiduciary fund controls.
The webinar will feature Lloyd Yavener, president and chief operating officer of Sutton National Group, and Rob Glanville, senior advisor at REG Consulting, LLC. Andrew Cleveland, partner at Johnson Lambert, and Robert Waszak, principal at Johnson Lambert, will also participate.
Designed for MGA and program administrator leadership, insurance executives, chief financial officers, controllers, and governance officers, the session will address the operational and regulatory challenges associated with expanding delegated authority relationships. Topics will include ongoing program monitoring, insurer due diligence, financial reporting, and National Association of Insurance Commissioners compliance.
Participants will learn what insurers and capital providers examine when evaluating MGA programs and how organizations can prepare for reviews and audits.
Attendees will be eligible for 1 hour of continuing professional education credit in specialized knowledge and 1 hour of continuing regulatory education credit.
The webinar is complimentary, and those unable to attend the live session may register to receive a recording afterward.
