Spanish digital insurer Tuio has introduced an artificial intelligence (AI) application within ChatGPT that allows users to obtain personalized home insurance quotes through a conversational interface, according to reporting by Reinsurance News.

The publication reported that the app, developed by Tuio and powered by WaniWani's AI distribution infrastructure, was approved for deployment within ChatGPT. The tool enables users to request and receive real-time home insurance quotes without leaving the platform. The system is designed to interpret user intent, gather underwriting information through natural language exchanges, and return a quote from a regulated insurer.

According to Reinsurance News, Tuio has integrated AI across its operations to improve efficiency and customer experience. The company views its presence within ChatGPT as an opportunity to engage prospective policyholders at the point where they are researching coverage options and to convert interest into new business.

The report said WaniWani's leadership described the launch as an early stage in a broader shift in insurance distribution, with AI platforms gaining the capability to access live offers, generate quotes on behalf of buyers, and compare coverage in real time. The development was characterized as potentially significant for insurers, regardless of whether they build their own AI applications.

Tuio also pointed to growing consumer reliance on conversational AI tools. Citing a 2025 study by Express Legal Funding, Reinsurance News reported that 33 percent of US adults have used ChatGPT for financial advice, underscoring the expanding role of AI in financial research and decision-making.

The publication noted that similar a AI application infrastructure has been adopted within Anthropic's Claude, and that Google's Gemini is expected to release standards for third-party applications in the coming months. The rollout signals increased experimentation among insurers and technology firms as conversational AI platforms expand their commercial capabilities.
