Registration is underway for this year's Self-Insurance Institute of America (SIIA) 2021 National Educational Conference and Expo, which will be held in both in-person and virtual formats.

The event is scheduled for October 3–5, with in-person activities taking place at the JW Marriott, Austin, Texas.

The SIIA said the "blended" conference, themed "The Way Forward," will deliver the best of both in-person and virtual formats, allowing participants to attend in whatever way works best for them and their organizations.

"Our most flexible event ever provides access to presentations, exhibits, and networking activities from virtually anywhere," the SIIA said in a statement. "Whether you join us in Austin or online from anywhere with an internet connection, the world's largest self-insurance event is leading the way forward."

The SIIA said that all of the conference's educational content will be delivered via a virtual platform, with a combination of live and prerecorded sessions scheduled during the session. Sessions will be available on-demand for the entire conference week.

Among the conference's networking opportunities, the in-person event will feature a lounge area open throughout the conference and nightly cocktail receptions. For those online, the conference will include virtual networking luncheons, multiple conference chat rooms, and a virtual exhibit hall.

The virtual exhibit platform will include chat/video functions and PDF uploads to provide information to attendees. Access to the platform is available around the clock during the conference. Exhibitors reserving a virtual booth also have the opportunity to reserve an on-site tabletop for an additional fee, limited to the first 40 reservations.

Registration information for the SIIA's 2021 national conference can be found on the SIIA website.
