SCCIA Opens Registration for 2026 Captive Insurance Conference

Early bird registration is open for the 26th South Carolina Captive Insurance Association (SCCIA) Annual Executive Educational Conference, scheduled for September 28–30, 2026, in downtown Charleston.

The annual event will feature presentations from industry leaders, continuing education opportunities, networking sessions, and social events for captive insurance professionals and stakeholders.

Conference organizers said attendees can register, reserve hotel accommodations, and secure sponsorship and promotional opportunities through the SCCIA website. The conference will again offer a "buy one, get one" registration promotion for eligible captive owners. Under the program, the first captive owner from an organization pays the standard registration fee, while registration for a second owner from the same organization is complimentary.

SCCIA defines eligible participants as employees of a parent corporation currently insured by a captive or considering the formation of a captive. Captive management firms that sponsor or own cell captives are not eligible for the offer. Organizers said attendees must download the designated registration form to access the promotion.

Ahead of the conference, SCCIA will host its Captive Academy on September 28 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Charleston. The in-person seminar is designed for individuals new to the captive insurance industry or those seeking a refresher on captive structures and operations in South Carolina.

Organizers said the interactive session will cover multiple aspects of captives in the state and provide participants with an opportunity to ask questions. The Captive Academy requires separate registration and is not included with conference registration.

SCCIA has also arranged a room block at the Mills House hotel for conference attendees and encouraged participants to reserve accommodations early due to expected demand.
