Pinnacle Hosts 2026 University for Actuarial Students

Pinnacle Actuarial Resources, Inc., will host its 13th annual Pinnacle University (Pinnacle U) on March 25–26, offering an invite-only professional development program for actuarial students in collaboration with several colleges and universities. The event will be held both virtually and at the firm's Bloomington, Illinois, headquarters. 

Pinnacle U pairs actuarial students with Pinnacle analysts to research key topics affecting the property/casualty insurance industry. Each team presents its findings to a panel of credentialed actuaries, who assess the students' conclusions, presentation skills, and project execution. 

The program is designed to give participants exposure to real-world actuarial work, including project management, collaboration, and business communication. Topics for the 2026 session include real estate, nonprofit sector challenges, climate change, and parametric insurance models. 

"For 13 years, Pinnacle U has helped actuarial students learn about life as a working actuary," Roosevelt Mosley, managing principal at Pinnacle, said. "The program reflects our commitment to the insurance industry and creating the next generation of actuarial leaders. It is a privilege to provide this avenue to students pursuing an actuarial career."

Although the event is private, participating teams may publish their research as blog posts in the months following the program. A 2025 Pinnacle U presentation, "Beyond the Policy: Exploring the Landscape of Trust in Insurance," was later featured as a cover article in the Casualty Actuarial Society's Actuarial Review.
