Nevada Names Scott Kipper Insurance Commissioner
Nevada has appointed Scott Kipper insurance commissioner of the Nevada Division of Insurance, effective February 27. Mr. Kipper replaces Barbara Richardson, who resigned after holding the post since March 2016. Mr. Kipper has held the insurance commissioner post twice previously, from 2008 to 2010 and from 2011 to 2015. Read More

Nate Reznicek, president of Captives.Insure and head of US distribution at International-Re, has been elected chair of the North Carolina Captive Insurance Association (NCCIA) for 2023–2024. Tennessee Names Mark Wiedeman Captive Insurance Section Director
Mark Wiedeman, a veteran state regulator, has been selected by the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance (TDCI) to be director of the TDCI's Captive Insurance Section. Previously, Mr. Wiedeman worked at the Utah Insurance Department before starting a business in captive insurance consulting and contract insurance examinations. Read More
