MSH, a subsidiary of the Diot-Siaci Group, has established Elucin, a Luxembourg-based firm providing advisory services for employee benefits captive insurance programs.

Elucin will work with multinational companies and their captive insurers, including those domiciled outside Europe. Its services include feasibility assessments, program implementation, pricing consulting, risk structuring, and ongoing management of employee benefits captive insurance arrangements.

The firm will coordinate programs centrally while working with clients' existing brokers and local networks to implement coverage in individual markets.

Sven Roelandt and Zulu Khan will lead Elucin, reporting to Frédéric Grand, employee benefits global practice lead and CEO of MSH.

Mr. Roelandt has more than 20 years of international employee benefits experience, including senior management positions at Zurich, Insurope, Generali Employee Benefits, and Aon. At Aon, he established and led the company's global employee benefits captive business.

Mr. Khan will oversee underwriting and operations and lead the firm's expansion into North America. His previous experience includes positions at AXA, Generali, Granite Management, and Aon, working across insurance underwriting, captive management and brokerage.

The establishment of Elucin comes as multinational companies increasingly consider captive insurance arrangements to finance and reinsure employee benefits. These programs can allow companies to retain certain employee benefits risks within their captive insurers rather than transferring all risks to commercial insurance markets.

More and more international companies are looking to reinsure their employee benefits through captives, and they need specialist expertise to navigate this constantly evolving landscape, Cédric Charpentier, CEO of Diot-Siaci Group, said.

Elucin will also provide pricing consulting and develop risk protection structures based on individual captives' risk appetites. Its services will cover the development and administration of employee benefits captive insurance programs across multiple jurisdictions.

The new operation adds a dedicated employee benefits captive insurance advisory business to Diot-Siaci's existing insurance brokerage, reinsurance, and captive management activities.
