The 2026 Mid Rivers Risk Forum will bring students, risk managers, self-insurers, captive insurance leaders, regulators, and service providers to St. Louis October 4–6 for educational sessions and networking focused on emerging issues in risk management and insurance.

The event, to be held at the Sheraton Westport Plaza, will open with student-focused sessions covering career development and key areas of the insurance industry. Topics will include personal branding, enterprise risk management and insurance fundamentals, captive insurance, and the wholesale and surplus-lines marketplace.

The forum's Risk Leaders program will feature Charles S. Gascon, economist and assistant vice president at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, as keynote speaker.

Additional sessions will address workers compensation, captive insurance strategies, claims management, enterprise risk management, workplace technology, cyber risk, artificial intelligence in insurance, and safety penalties.

The program also includes opportunities for attendees to meet with professionals from across the risk management and insurance industries. Scheduled activities include breakfast gatherings, networking breaks, speed networking, receptions, and a closing celebration.

The Mid Rivers Risk Forum is designed to connect professionals and students representing multiple segments of the risk community while providing educational programming on issues affecting risk management, insurance, and captive programs.
