Michael Reynolds Promoted to Lead Nevada Captive Insurance Unit

The Nevada Division of Insurance has promoted Michael Reynolds to senior management analyst, where he now leads the company's admissions and captive insurance sections. Mr. Reynolds, who has served the State of Nevada since 2009 and joined the division in 2023, assumed the role effective July 20 after earning his Associate in Captive Insurance designation from the International Institute for Captive Insurance Education. 

"I am grateful for this opportunity for personal growth and to serve the State of Nevada and the insurance industry in a greater capacity," Mr. Reynolds said. 

The promotion was announced as part of the division's midyear update, which also highlighted the agency's ongoing efforts to strengthen consumer protection, regulatory oversight, and community engagement. Commissioner Ned Gaines emphasized the division's mission of protecting Nevada consumers while ensuring the financial solvency of insurers through outreach, legislative engagement, and rural community visits. 

The update also recognized several employee promotions, professional designations, and new hires across the agency as the division continues expanding its regulatory and consumer service capabilities.
