IMAC Names 4 Recipients of 2026 Educational Scholarships

The Insurance Managers Association of Cayman (IMAC) has named four recipients of its 2026 Educational Scholarship Fund awards, continuing its support for Caymanian students pursuing higher education.

The 2026 recipients are Amiya Tahal, who will study mechanical engineering at the University of Wisconsin—Madison; De-Andre Beckford, who will pursue accountancy and data science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign; Johanna Dixon, who will study film production at the University of Salford Manchester; and Shaniah Terry, who will pursue finance at the University of Miami.

Also joining this year's cohort is Ericia Burke, a 2025 IMAC scholarship recipient who began her Sport Administration (Exploratory) program at Georgia State University in January 2026 after deferring the start of her studies.

Since 1994, IMAC's Educational Scholarship Fund has raised more than $5 million and helped more than 90 Caymanian students access tertiary education. Recipients have pursued academic and professional ambitions across a range of disciplines.

"As a former IMAC scholarship recipient, I know firsthand the difference this support can make at such an important stage in a young person's life," Jessica Powell, chair of the IMAC Educational Scholarship Fund Committee, said. "It is rewarding to now have the opportunity to help extend that same support to the next generation of Caymanian students.

"Each 2026 recipient has demonstrated tremendous potential, and we are proud to support them as they pursue their studies. We look forward to following their academic path and seeing the contributions they will make to our community in the years ahead."
