The Insurance Managers Association of Cayman (IMAC) raised more than $42,000 during its Annual Gala & Scholarship Fundraiser on September 13, held at the Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa. Proceeds will support the IMAC Educational Scholarship Fund, which helps Caymanian students pursue tertiary education overseas.

More than 300 guests from the captive insurance and financial services sectors attended the sold-out event, which has become a fixture on Cayman's annual calendar.

"We're incredibly proud to see such strong support from our industry partners. Every dollar raised helps expand opportunities for Caymanian students and strengthens the future of our local workforce," Kieran Mehigan, chair of IMAC, said.

The evening included a speech by Jevaughnie Ebanks, a past scholarship recipient, who shared how the program had changed the course of his academic and personal life.

RSM returned as the title sponsor for the 2025 gala.

"At RSM, we are proud and honored to support IMAC's mission to empower Cayman's youth. Education transforms lives, and we believe investing in young people creates lasting value for the entire community," Richard Wainwright, partner at RSM, said.

Additional support came from sponsors Artex, Campbells, and Honigman, all of whom share IMAC's commitment to developing future Caymanian leaders through education.

The scholarship program forms part of IMAC's broader efforts to strengthen the talent pipeline within the insurance and financial services sectors in the Cayman Islands, which remains the world's second-largest domicile for captive insurers.
