Huntington National Bank has expanded its captive insurance banking capabilities, adding specialized leadership and coordination to its financial services for captive insurance companies and other alternative risk transfer structures.

The expansion builds on Huntington's existing captive insurance business and its growing reinsurance trust platform. The bank's specialized team helps captive insurance clients manage collateral requirements through letters of credit and reinsurance trusts while providing access to Huntington's broader banking services.

Huntington said the expanded capabilities are designed to serve captive insurance companies of varying sizes, including global captives seeking coordinated access to banking, collateral, and risk management solutions.

"We've served captive insurance clients for decades, and this expansion reflects our continued investment in specialized capabilities that meet increasingly complex client needs," Andy Arduini, senior managing director of global specialty products at Huntington, said. "By combining experienced people, a strong platform and Huntington's balance sheet, we're positioned to deliver a more comprehensive model for clients across the captive insurance industry."

Jordan Mosher will lead the expanded offering as head of captive insurance banking. Mr. Mosher previously helped build Huntington's reinsurance trust vertical and will work with leaders across global specialty products to provide an integrated approach to captive insurance clients. Joe McDonald will serve as managing director, supporting the development and delivery of the bank's captive insurance solutions.

"Captive insurance companies need partners who understand the industry, can move with speed and certainty, and can deliver collateral solutions as part of a broader banking relationship," Mr. Mosher said. "Our goal is to make it easier for clients to access the solutions they need through one coordinated team."

The expansion is part of Huntington Commercial Bank's investment in specialized industry expertise and national capabilities. The bank has launched multiple industry verticals in recent years while expanding into additional geographic markets.

Huntington Bancshares Incorporated, headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, has $284 billion in assets. The Huntington National Bank and its affiliates serve consumers, small and middle-market businesses, corporations, municipalities, and other organizations. Founded in 1866, Huntington operates more than 1,400 branches in 21 states, with some businesses operating nationally.
