MSL Captive Solutions, Inc. (MSLCS), has appointed David Sykes as chief financial officer. Previously, Mr. Sykes was managing director of Strategic Risk Solutions Bermuda (SRS) where he led the insurance management operations for SRS for over a decade before relocating to the United States.

Mr. Sykes has more than 30 years of experience that includes managing the accounting and reporting requirements for many group captive programs underwriting both employee benefits and property and casualty risk. He has worked in financial management for a range of insurance entities, including captive insurers, commercial reinsurers, and service companies.

"We are extremely pleased to be able to add the experience and expertise that David brings to MSLCS. His deep knowledge of captives, especially group captive structures, will be invaluable to the accounting and reporting on our captive programs," said Phil Giles, managing director, MSLCS.

Mr. Sykes is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales and an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute. He holds a bachelor of science degree in applied mathematics from the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom.

"We are committed to the underwriting and servicing of captive programs for medical stop loss, both single parent and group captives. We will continue to add to and build on our captive experience as we further develop MSLCS as the industry's leading MGU dedicated to the captive sector," added Mr. Giles.
