The Captive Insurance Companies Association (CICA) announced that President Dan Towle will deliver the keynote address at Zurich Captive Dialogue Day on June 23, 2026, at the Zurich Development Center in Zurich, Switzerland.

The invitation-only conference will bring together captive owners, risk managers, industry leaders, and insurance professionals from across Europe and other global markets to discuss emerging trends and strategic opportunities in captive insurance. The event's theme, "Turning Uncertainty into Strategy," focuses on navigating a complex risk environment through innovation, resilience, and alternative risk financing solutions.

Mr. Towle's keynote presentation, "The Golden Age of Captive Insurance," will examine the factors influencing the captive insurance sector, including evolving risk exposures, geopolitical uncertainty, regulatory developments, workforce challenges, technological innovation, and the growing use of captives as strategic business tools.

"Captive insurance is no longer viewed simply as an insurance financing mechanism," Mr. Towle said. "Around the world, captives are increasingly being recognized as strategic assets that help organizations address emerging risks, improve resilience, and create long-term value. As risk becomes more complex and interconnected, captives are uniquely positioned to provide solutions where traditional markets often fall short."

According to CICA, Mr. Towle will also address the industry's continued growth across Europe, North America, and other regions, as well as the need for credibility, transparency, and strong regulatory relationships as the sector expands.

"We are living through a period of unprecedented opportunity for captive insurance," Mr. Towle said. "Organizations are facing challenges ranging from cyber threats and supply chain disruption to climate-related exposures and geopolitical uncertainty. Captives have proven their value in helping businesses navigate these risks, and the industry's future has never been more promising. At the same time, we must continue to advocate for sound public policy, invest in education, and demonstrate the important role captives play in strengthening risk management worldwide."

CICA, which describes itself as the only domicile-neutral captive insurance association, serves captive owners, service providers, regulators, and other industry stakeholders through education, advocacy, networking, and thought leadership initiatives. The organization has expanded its international engagement in recent years through partnerships with captive associations, risk management organizations, and industry leaders worldwide.

The association also continues its advocacy efforts in Washington, DC, working with members and industry partners to educate policymakers about the role of captive insurance in risk management.

"We're delighted to welcome Dan as this year's keynote speaker," said Adriana Scherzinger, group head of captives at Zurich Insurance Group. "Dan is one of the most respected voices in the global captive industry. His clear view of industry trends, advocacy priorities, and strategic opportunities will give the participants valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities ahead."
