The Captive Insurance Companies Association (CICA) is inviting members and nonmembers to submit educational session proposals for the CICA 2027 International Conference, scheduled for March 7–9, 2027, at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess.

Each proposed session must include a risk manager or captive owner whose primary job function involves operating or managing a captive on a daily basis. The participant must be directly employed by the captive's parent company or an affiliated company. Captive managers and service providers whose companies own captives do not qualify under this category. Some exceptions may apply.

CICA encourages proposals featuring diverse presenters and perspectives. Speakers who align with CICA initiatives and values, including Amplify Women and NEXTGen, are more likely to receive consideration. Although presentations involving CICA members are preferred, membership is not required.

As a domicile-neutral organization, CICA seeks sessions that offer national or international perspectives and include speakers representing a range of domiciles. Proposals focused exclusively on a single jurisdiction will not be accepted.

Companies may submit no more than five proposals and are encouraged to coordinate submissions internally. Each company may have a maximum of three speakers at the conference, and each speaker may participate in only one session. Serving as a moderator counts as a speaking role.

Each session may include only one speaker or moderator from the same company. Proposals featuring more than one participant from a single company will not be accepted. Sessions also may not be used to promote or market products or service providers.

Incomplete proposals or submissions that do not comply with the guidelines will not be accepted. CICA reserves the right to make exceptions in unique circumstances.

Proposals must be submitted through CICA's designated form by 6 p.m. (EDT) on Friday, August 7, 2026. Late submissions may not be considered.
