Christine Brown Named Acting Deputy Commissioner in Vermont

Christine Brown has been appointed acting deputy commissioner of the Captive Insurance Division at the Vermont Department of Financial Regulation.

Ms. Brown has served as director of captive insurance since 2022 and has been with the division since 2003. She brings more than 2 decades of regulatory experience to her new role, with a background spanning financial examination, licensing, and strategic planning. Prior to becoming director, she served as assistant director of the division for more than 18 years.

Ms. Brown will serve in an acting capacity while the formal selection process for a permanent appointment moves forward.

Her appointment is intended to maintain continuity within the division and uphold Vermont's longstanding commitment to a stable regulatory framework for captive insurers.
