The Bermuda Captive Network (BCN) has appointed Helen Souza of Exordium as a consultant to lead its membership outreach and business development efforts.
Ms. Souza brings significant experience in strategic communications and stakeholder engagement within Bermuda's captive insurance market. She previously held roles at HSBC and the Bermuda Business Development Agency, where she worked directly with captive owners and industry stakeholders. Her international representation of Bermuda through roadshows and industry events has reinforced the island's position as a leading captive domicile.
Ms. Souza also serves as chair of the Bermuda Captive Conference agenda committee and has been a frequent speaker at local industry events. Through her consultancy, Exordium, she has built a reputation for forging relationships and developing strategies that support business growth.
"Helen's passion for building strong, engaged communities aligns perfectly with BCN's vision," Grainne Richmond, president of the BCN, said. "We are confident her skills and strategic approach will help us strengthen our member base, enhance our value proposition, and continue promoting Bermuda as a world-class captive domicile."
"As chair of the Bermuda Captive Conference, I'm thrilled to welcome Helen to the team," Séadna Kirwan said. "Her fresh perspective and industry connections will be instrumental in advancing our shared goals of delivering education, fostering collaboration, and ensuring our members have the resources they need to succeed."
The Bermuda Captive Network board said Ms. Souza's global experience and ability to connect with captive owners will be key in advancing the organization's long-term priorities. Her appointment is part of the network's broader strategy to expand its reach and offer more value and engagement opportunities to members.
