Acrisure Re has integrated the firm's capital and captives division, bringing more than 275 captive insurance specialists across North America and Bermuda into a unified platform. The move combines captive insurance capabilities with reinsurance brokerage services under a single structure.

The new division, Acrisure Re Capital and Captives, is led by Seth Denson, head of captives, who reports to Simon Hedley, global CEO of Acrisure Re.

The business has primarily focused on the US life and health segment, including alternative and self-insured medical plans. The company is now expanding its captive insurance business in the property and casualty (P&C) segment, focusing on group and single-parent captives, reinsurance placement, and program development, and working with issuing insurers to support organizations using self-insurance and alternative risk financing.

"In P&C, we see a significant runway ahead," Mr. Hedley said.

The platform includes a segregated cell structure designed to support capital-efficient arrangements for life and health and P&C clients.

Acrisure Re Capital and Captives provides services across the captive lifecycle, including feasibility studies, captive formation and licensing, regulatory coordination, management and governance, actuarial support, and reinsurance placement.
