Artex Risk Solutions recently announced four key appointments within its international division. The individuals will be responsible for a range of insurance management products including captive insurance and insurance-linked securities (ILS).

Bermuda-based Scott Cobon was promoted to managing director with responsibility for the continued success and development of the Bermuda location. With more than 10 years of experience in the Bermuda insurance management industry, Mr. Cobon has been key to the growth of Artex's ILS business.

Also with Artex Bermuda, Rob Eastham will take on a new role as executive chairman. Mr. Eastham is an industry veteran with 38 years of experience in the Bermuda insurance industry and is a known leader in all aspects of the ILS and captive insurance industry.

Managing director for ILS, Guernsey-based Paul Eaton will lead strategy, planning, and growth for Artex ILS business across all locations. Mr. Eaton recently oversaw Artex's international business development and is a director of Artex Guernsey's ILS cell companies.

Between its Bermuda, Cayman, and Guernsey offices, Artex has more than 20 ILS insurance professionals.

New to Artex and in a newly created role is Mike Matthews who will take on the role of commercial director with Artex International. He will drive the strategy, planning, and delivery of the organization's international business growth. The role encompasses sales, marketing, product development, and client services. Mr. Matthews has over 30 years' experience in structuring and developing "complex" and "innovative" captive insurance solutions.
