John English Named CEO of AON Captive and Insurance Management

Effective June 1, 2018, London-based John English will become the CEO of Aon Captive and Insurance Management. Mr. English is currently the chief operating officer of Aon Captive and Insurance Management and managing director of Aon Captive and Insurance Management of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Mr. English has been with Aon for 10 years and has over 30 years of global experience across insurance, reinsurance, and alternative capital markets, including serving on captive industry bodies in Dublin and Bermuda.

Before joining Aon, Mr. English was a chairman and CEO of Jardine Lloyd Thompson's (JLT) Bermuda market broking operations, where he also created and headed JLT's captive management practice. Previous to this, he served as the managing director of International Risk Management Group's global captive division.

Mr. English will report to Rory Moloney, CEO of Aon Global Risk Consulting. Mr. Moloney said, "John's focus on key initiatives, including the use of data and analytics within our core captive management proposition and the development of our White Rock and Insurance Linked Securities Management business, will help the firm reinforce our leadership in terms of innovation and value creation."
