Mr. Abril is a partner with Oliver Wyman Actuarial Consulting, where he leads actuarial advisory engagements for insurers, captive insurance companies, and self-insured organizations. He brings more than 18 years of actuarial and consulting experience, specializing in reserving, pricing, enterprise risk management (ERM), and capital modeling across a broad range of property and casualty lines.
Mr. Abril has served as appointed actuary for more than 20 insurance and captive entities and has reviewed over $10 billion in outstanding liabilities. His work includes reserve analyses, statements of actuarial opinion, ERM and capital adequacy assessments, and the design of capital and retention structures for captives and alternative risk programs. He has also led technology-enabled actuarial initiatives supporting financial reporting, risk strategy, and management decision-making for insurers and self-insured clients.
Mr. Abril is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS), a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA), and a Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst (CERA).
