A second Vermont-domiciled group captive insurance solution is available from eCaptiv LLC. Funded through client participation, the group captives provide auto liability, general liability, excess liability, and workers compensation coverages.

With over 40 members and more than $18 million in gross written premium, Energi's captive program is geared toward energy companies with less than $250,000 in primary casualty premiums.

The programs offer up to $5 million in limits for general liability and commercial automobile and statutory limits for workers compensation as well as "significant" excess reinsurance above captive retentions.

All members have adopted risk management technology programs such as dash cameras, telematics, and online training that, according to Energi, are key elements in combating nuclear punitive damage judgments and commercial auto trends.

Massachusetts-based Energi Insurance Services, a managing general agency, and Houston International Insurance Group have partnered to provide this solution to energy clients.

Energi offers insurance and risk solutions to energy-related industries in fuel distribution, energy transport, energy construction, utilities, renewable energy, and agricultural cooperatives.
