JLT Re Appoints Three Executives To Cultivate North American Business

To strengthen its business across the region, JLT Re (North America) Inc. (JLT Re) has made three North American executive appointments.

JLT Re has appointed George Daddario as the executive chairman of JLT Re (North America) Inc. In this newly created position for North America, Mr. Daddario will continue to lead the business development units in the United States and Canada for JLT Re. He has been with JLT Re since 2014 as a part of the acquisition of the reinsurance business of Towers Watson.

The company has also appointed Peter Chandler as deputy CEO of JLT Re (North America) Inc. Mr. Chandler will be responsible for driving new business opportunities and leading the National Global Practice area. He joined JLT Re in 2016 from Marsh, where he was leader for the Western region. Prior to that, he was chief operating officer for Guy Carpenter in North America and has also held other key roles at Guy Carpenter and Benfield.

Chip Ott has been appointed to the JLT Re North American executive committee. Mr. Ott joined JLT Re in 2016 as a part of its StoneHill Reinsurance Partners acquisition. He previously served as president and chief executive officer of Texas Medical Liability Trust (TMLT), the largest provider of medical liability insurance in the state of Texas.
