Mrs. Liu has been the assistant director of the Utah Captive Division since October 2022, after serving the division as an insurance financial analyst since 2016. Prior to her career as an insurance regulator, she was an individual income tax auditor at the Utah State Tax Commission and a junior accountant at a local CPA firm.
Over the years, Mrs. Liu has obtained several accreditations such as Accredited Financial Examiner (AFE), Associate Professional in Insurance Regulation (APIR), and Associate of Captive Insurance (ACI). Recently, she has also been selected to participate in the State of Utah Leadership Certification Program that will conclude in June 2025. She is actively involved in the insurance industry and is currently a board member of the Risk Management Society (RIMS) Utah Chapter. Mrs. Liu holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in business administration. In her spare time, she enjoys skiing, hiking, fishing, and traveling with her family.
