March 8, 2018 (Houston, TX) - As part of its ongoing captive services, Capstone's management met with regulators at the Anguilla Financial Services Commission (AFSC) last month. Jeff Carlson, Head of Operations, was in attendance on Capstone's behalf. The 3-day visit entailed an informational session with AFSC's Director, Gerry Halischuk and members of the AFSC regulatory team. During his visit, Mr. Carlson also met with Commercial Registry Director Lanston (Lance) Connor, Deputy Director, Lonnie Hobson, and with Fiona Curtis, Resident Manager of Capstone Insurance Management (Anguilla), Ltd. Issues particular to individual client's captives were addressed as well as issues having broader application.

Anguilla's continued commitment to maintaining a strong regulatory environment for captive owners was discussed. Additionally, the AFSC shared information on the launch of the commission's new fast track program for select insurance managers (including Capstone) whereby captive insurance companies may receive accelerated approvals for applications. Capstone is well-recognized by the AFSC as a captive partner that ensures that Anguillian domiciled captives are managed in accordance with established regulations.

"It was a pleasure to meet with Director Halischuk and key members of the AFSC team," said Jeff Carlson. "We had a productive exchange of information during our extended meeting which also provided the opportunity to share with the regulators many of the things we are doing at Capstone. It was also helpful to meet with Director Connor to learn about Commercial Registry initiatives."  Capstone Meets with Anguilla-SF

Capstone continues as one of the largest sponsors of captive insurance companies domiciled in the Territory, having begun its Anguilla operations in 2009. Capstone Insurance Management (Anguilla), Ltd., a subsidiary of Capstone, maintains a staffed office in The Valley, Anguilla, run by Fiona Curtis, MBA, who serves as resident manager.

Anguilla is located in the British Overseas Territory of Anguilla and is ultimately governed by the United Kingdom.
