Congratulations on Your New Job Card and Pen

Willis Re recently appointed David Schoenrock to the new role of executive vice president and head of global accounts for Willis Re North America, effective December 23.

Mr. Schoenrock brings considerable experience to his new position, including 17 years at Guy Carpenter and prior to that, 17 years at General Re. Dividing his time between New York and Stamford, he will focus on liaising with the senior executive teams of major US clients and prospects, working across Willis Re's broking, actuarial, and modeling teams to set and execute strategy for North American-based global accounts. He will also mentor colleagues in both offices and assist with product design and development for Willis Re's global clients.

Mr. Schoenrock will report to Doug May, who is concurrently promoted to president of Willis Re North America. Mr. May's role as manager of Willis Re's North America business segments and a member of the North American Executive Committee will remain unchanged. After joining Willis Re in 2007 following 12 years at Guy Carpenter, Mr. May has played a key role in Willis Re North America's success, particularly in his leadership of the personal and small commercial property segment and more recently in helping drive new business production through the creation of product and content across all business segments.

Commenting on Mr. Schoenrock's appointment, Jim Bradshaw, chief executive officer of Willis Re North America, said, "We are thrilled to have someone with Dave's expertise and work ethic join the team. His considerable experience and stellar reputation in the market will allow him to immediately plug into our major account portfolio and across the broader Willis Re.

He will provide critical assistance to our efforts to grow our footprint and attract new clients in this space. Most importantly, Dave fits perfectly into our culture of collaboration and mentorship and will be an invaluable asset in our efforts to pair seasoned executives with up-and-coming talent, ensuring our clients continue to get the benefit of market experience and new perspectives.

"Promoting Doug makes perfect sense as well. He has been an outstanding performer and has played a huge role in the development of our North American business. He was a driving force in the successful launch of our recent Wildfire Model and has been a key driver in client and prospect focused risk management and mitigation projects. He is admired and respected by colleagues and clients alike and he is well suited to assume this role."

Mr. May said, "I am continually amazed by the abilities of Willis Re colleagues and the incredible platform we have to serve clients. I am excited about this new role and look forward to working with our branches and segment leaders to better serve our clients."
