Jeremy Huish has joined Business Transition Advisors, the Employee Stock Ownership Plan division of Capstone Headwaters. Capstone Headwaters is an independently owned investment banking firm with 19 offices in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Brazil.

A large number of captive insurance company owners are employee-owned companies. When a company looks to be sold or do an ownership transition, there may be additional complications involved if a captive is part of the structure.

Mr. Huish will be working with businesses to address these highly specific needs.

When asked about this change, Mr. Huish said, "I was very fortunate to spend 10 years working with top-notch professionals at one of the largest captive insurance management firms in the world. A large number of organizations that use captives are employee-owned companies or are considering becoming an employee-owned company. This position enables me to advise businesses that are approaching an ownership change, bringing with me my experience in handling risk management issues and captives."

Mr. Huish was previously head of the business development group for North America within the Artex Risk Solutions Mesa, Arizona, office. At the end of August, he left Artex.

Prior to joining Artex, he spent 7 years in Washington, DC, as a tax attorney for a Big 4 accounting firm and an international law firm. His experience includes international, federal, state, and local tax matters, including advising the largest US banks on the taxation of their US and foreign clients.
