Pinnacle Promotions Reinforce the Firm's Captive Insurance Expertise

Pinnacle Actuarial Resources, Inc. (Pinnacle), has promoted Bloomington, Illinois-based Aaron N. Hillebrandt to director and consulting actuary and San Francisco, California-based Christopher C. Cortner to consulting actuary.

With the firm since 2013, Mr. Hillebrandt is an honorably discharged sergeant and combat veteran of the United States Marine Corps and has over 11 years of experience in the property-casualty insurance industry. His work has focused on loss reserving, funding studies, loss cost projections, captive feasibility studies, and personal and commercial lines ratemaking.

He holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Illinois State University, where he has also lectured in mathematics. Mr. Hillebrandt is a Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) fellow, an American Academy of Actuaries member, a CAS Syllabus and Examination Committee exam chair, and is involved with CAS and captive association conference planning committees.

Mr. Cortner joined Pinnacle in 2017 and has worked in the property-casualty insurance industry for over 10 years focusing on loss reserve analyses, ratemaking, rate filing, financial reporting, competitive analysis, captive insurance, reinsurance, and commutations. He holds bachelor of science degrees in both economics and biology from the University of California, Los Angeles. Mr. Cortner is an associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society, an American Academy of Actuaries member, and a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter.
