The North Carolina Captive Insurance Association (NCCIA) will host its third annual Captive Insurance Conference at the Ballantyne Hotel in South Charlotte on August 21–23. Over 200 captive industry professionals are expected to attend.

NCCIA board chairman Jeremy Colombik, president of Management Services International (MSI), will participate in a panel on maximizing the benefits of captive ownership, which will cover captives as profit centers, increasing risk awareness, minimizing commercial insurance costs, risk management, and tax benefits.

"As the Chairman of the NCCIA, it is not only my pleasure, but also an honor to be speaking at the annual conference," Mr. Colombik said. "Captive Insurance is a great business solution if it is done for the right purpose. Business owners do not need to be Fortune 500 companies to participate in this solution. A business owner may participate if they have gross revenues of $1 million or more per year, depending on the captive program."

Thomas L. Adams, NCCIA president and CEO, said, "Jeremy Colombik is providing bold, imaginative leadership to the association which has not only increased membership but added to the value proposition that membership brings to the captive industry."

For more than a decade, MSI has created innovative solutions for business owners seeking an enterprise risk management solution by implementing Risk Management Made Profitable™. MSI was recently nominated for Captive Manager of the Year for Enterprise Risk and has experienced significant growth in the last year as one of the largest captive managers in North Carolina.
