Demotech, Inc., has affirmed in their July 2016 news release, "Demotech Affirms the Financial Stability Rating Assigned to Spirit Mountain Insurance Company RRG, Inc," that Spirit Mountain Insurance Company RRG (SMIC) has been assigned the Financial Stability Rating of A (Exceptional). The risk retention group (RRG) structure is not atypical. It is owned by the International Association of Community Service Organizations (IACSO) and is the sole policyholder. SMIC writes an IACSO master policy and issues certificates of insurance to its members.
