Munich Re America announces Strategic Business Unit Management Teams

Princeton, N.J., Tuesday, February 19, 2008 - In October 2007, when Munich Re announced its new U.S. Strategy as part of its Changing Gear program, a new structure and management team was announced for Munich Re America, effective January 1, 2008. The Strategic Business Unit managers, reporting to Tony Kuczinski, President and CEO of Munich Re America, have finalized their next level of management. These new appointments, listed below, will be effective March 1st, 2008.

National Clients

Pina Albo, President of the National Clients division, announced the National Clients management team:

Paul Goodwin was appointed Client Executive.
Greg Mader was appointed Client Executive.
David Dee was appointed head of Casualty Underwriting.
Martin Neuhaus was appointed head of Property Underwriting.
Kevin McDermott will continue to head the Specialty Lines Group.
Bill Redington will continue to head the Professional Liability Unit.
Sue Zdroik was appointed head of Underwriting Support.


Regional Clients

Dom Addesso, President of the Regional Clients division, announced the Regional Clients management team:

David O’Keefe was appointed Client Executive.
Sam McCroskey was appointed Client Executive.
Gerry Skalka was appointed head of Casualty Underwriting.
Peter Raab was appointed head of Property Underwriting.
Ben Pistilli was appointed head of Underwriting Support.


Broker Market

Greg Coda, President of the Broker Market division, announced the Broker Market management team:

Bob McFadden was appointed Client/Broker Executive.
John Vasturia was appointed Client/Broker Executive.
Rolf Beck was appointed head of Casualty Underwriting.
Jim Larkin was appointed head of Property Underwriting.
Joy Takahashi was appointed head of Underwriting Support.


Specialty Markets

Craig Smiddy, President of the Specialty Markets division, announced the Specialty Markets management team:

Doug Boyce will continue to head Insurance Company Operations.
Judy Downey was appointed head of the Alternative Market unit.
Tom McGrath was appointed head of the Primary Insurance Programs unit.
Steve Assennata was appointed head of Umbrella Insurance Programs unit.
Greg Lang will continue to head Business Development.
Al Durso will have administrative oversight for Property Engineered Risks/Individual Commercial Risk.
Ken Jenkins will continue in his position as Chief Underwriting Officer for the division.
