Best Co. research shows that 2011 saw a surprising surge in recorded impaired U.S. insurance organizations, including risk retention groups, captive insurers, property/casualty writers and other risk carriers. A panel of experts examines the factors that can lead to insurance weakness, how impairments and insolvencies are being managed and the impact on policyholders, producers and the insurance industry.
