Specialty Risk Services Appoints Michael Ryan as Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing

Hartford, CT, December 18, 2009. - Specialty Risk Services (SRS), a national leader in property-casualty third party administration offering workers’ compensation and liability claims and managed care solutions, has appointed Michael Ryan to spearhead their sales and marketing organization. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing business development and marketing activities for all of SRS.

“Mike is a performance-driven executive with strong leadership and strategic management skills. He brings a wealth of industry experience, relationships and business acumen to his new role and is a great addition to our senior management team,” said Joe Boures, President of SRS. “I’m confident that his vast experience in risk management, claims, and business operations will help SRS achieve its long-term strategic goals.”

Ryan graduated from Rowan University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and has since achieved an extensive professional background in the insurance industry. He joined SRS in 2005 as Vice President of Account Management and is currently responsible for both the Northeast and Southeast Divisions. Prior to his positions at SRS, he served as an Account Executive for Sedgwick Claims Management Services in Philadelphia, and held various positions in operations at American Financial Group, Inc. and Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. Identified as a key talent early in his career at SRS, Ryan was selected for inclusion in The Hartford’s prestigious Leadership Impact Program.

He is also an active participant in local and national chapters of the Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS). He will report to Joe Boures, President of SRS, and will be based in Marlton, New Jersey.
